Building Official Office

Bob Speaker is the town building official. This position is appointed by the Town Manager. Bob is a long time Barrington resident, living on Upland Way, and has been the Building Official for over 20 years.

Office Hours: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Afternoons are spent on site inspections.

Secretary of Planning & Development

Valerie Carroll has been in this position for four years. She brings experience and skills with technology to the Town Hall. Please contact Valerie if you have questions regarding the Zoning Board, the Planning Board, or the Building Board of Appeals. She also provides administrative support for Bob Speaker and Phil Hervey. She is generally available 8:30-4:30.
