COMMUNITY CENTER TASK FORCE
Established by the Town Council February 2010

The Community Center Task Force was established to explore the potential development of a new multi-generational community center for the town. This is a follow-up to explore further the ideas that came out of a 2009 study conducted by Graham-Meus Inc.

The consultant looked at the future use of the Peck Center, examining issues such as whether the Senior Center should stay at the Peck Center or relocate, and potential options for expansion of the Children’s Library within the Peck building. The Task Force consists of: Library Board of Trustees Member Friends of the Library Member Preservation Society Board Member Community School Board Trustees, Member YMCA Board, Member Senior Services Advisory Board, Member Friends of the Senior Center, Member Parks & Recreation Commission, Member James Schwartz, Council Liaison
