The Human Resource Department of the Town of Barrington is responsible for all aspects of Personnel Management. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our diverse municipal workforce, departments and the general public. Assists in checkout and checkin of materials, issuing library cards to patrons, entering new magazines into the consortial database, unpacking bins of items sent from other libraries, pulling reserve items from the shelves, and other duties as assigned.
$15.00 per hour
September through June: Monday and Wednesdays, 4:30 pm-9 pm; with the addition of Thursdays, 4:30 pm - 9 pm, every third week
July & August: Monday and Wednesdays, 4:30 pm -8 pm; with the addition of Thursdays, 4:30 pm -8 pm, every third week
Eligible to participate in Sunday hours from September through May. (Sunday hours are 1 pm-5 pm, and time-and-a-half salary is paid.)
Candidates should have excellent customer service skills. Those with experience working at Circulation in a busy library will be given first preference. Familiarity with Sierra ILS is a big plus.

TOWN OF BARRINGTON
PART TIME Janitor
15 hours per week
$15.00 per hour
The Town of Barrington is seeking an experienced janitor for part time work at the Public Safety building. This position is responsible for a variety of janitorial services including sweeping, moping, vacuuming, window washing, trash removal and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the building and rest rooms, and regular buffing and waxing of floors. Other duties may include moving office furniture, snow removal, and minor repairs or painting when needed. Must be physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
Interest in or experience with heating and HVAC systems a plus.
