The Human Resource Department of the Town of Barrington is responsible for all aspects of Personnel Management. The Town’s six-week day camps will begin the week of July 1st and run until August 9th for children ages 4 to 12.
Candidates must possess skills in camp crafts, games, outdoor activities and special themed week activities. Experience in a camp program is desirable but will consider individuals with childcare or other special skills related to camp experiences.
Responsible for surveillance and supervision of the Town’s beach to ensure the safety of beach attendees by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Candidates must hold valid cards in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR, which includes infant, child and adult. All of which should be valid through September 2, 2019.
Candidates must be non-surf certified by May 24, 2019.

PART TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Town of Barrington is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant for our Recreation Department. Applicants must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office, have exceptional customer service skills, like to have fun and be comfortable working independently.
Flexibility is a must with this position. Hours are generally 15 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to Noon. Candidates must be willing to work an occasional Saturday or evening event such as the Arts Festival in June, Harvest Festival in early October, Tree lighting Festival in December and the Family Beach Party in August.
Responsibilities include event planning where the individual will assist the Director and other program coordinators in contacting vendors, booking events, and working planned yearly events. Applicants will also oversee promotional materials for newsletters and flyers being distributed to the community.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of one-year office experience, an Associate’s Degree and a high level of professionalism.
