Public Boat Launching Areas

Haines Memorial Park - Narragansett Avenue. A good concrete ramp with parking available for access to Bullock's Cove and the lower reach of the Providence River.

Walker Farm - An access to Hundred Acre Cove from County Road. Parking.

"Police Cove" - A concrete ramp with access to the Barrington River at the "Police Cove" site at the foot of the Barrington River Bridge.

Barrington Town Beach - Bay Road. Parking available. Restricted to small craft. This access to upper Narragansett Bay is known for a severe chop during a southerly breeze.

Latham Park - Bay Spring. Parking Available. Kayaks/canoes only.

Fishing

Salt Water. Game fish such as striped bass, blue fish, snapper blues, scup, and winter and summer flounder are caught in Narragansett Bay, Mount Hope Bay, and in areas such as the Kickemuit and Warren Rivers. Licenses are required and may be obtained throught the RI Department of Environmental Management or at an wuthorized agent.

Shellfishing. Resident shellfishing licenses are available through the Department of Environmental Management.

Fresh Water. Licenses are required and may be obtained at Town Hall, RIDEM or from authorized agents. The state stocks trout in Barrington's Tiffany Pond. Other popular fresh water spots in the area include the Kickemuit River in Warren, Brickyard Pond and Echo Lake, both located in Barrington.
