The Town Hall has numerous offices that serve the community… these two featured departments deal with physical property and buildings of the town and assure that codes and zoning regulations are met and proper planning done.

Building Official Office Bob Speaker is the town building official. This position is appointed by the Town Manager. Bob is a long time Barrington resident, living on Upland Way, and has been the Building Official for over 20 years.
Office Hours: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Afternoons are spent on site.
Office Staff: Valerie Carroll is assistant to the Building Official in addition to duties as secretary to Planning and Zoning Boards as detailed below.

Valerie Carroll is new to this diverse position at Town Hall, starting this past year. She brings experience and skills with technology to the Town Hall.
