Technical Review Committee

The "Technical Review Committee" (TRC), established in accordance with R.I.G.L. § 45-23-56, meets on the second Thursday of each month and it consists of seven members; 5 members appointed by the Town Council and two members from the Planning Board and all members serve 3-year terms.

The TRC conducts technical reviews of all applications subject to the jurisdiction and provides guidance to an applicant with regard to procedure, technical requirements, and overall project design.

The application types listed below shall be reviewed by the TRC in an advisory capacity with a recommendation to the appropriate Board: Development plan review - Advisory to the Planning Board; Sign permit review - Advisory to the Zoning Board where a sign application requires Zoning Board approval; Land development projects and subdivisions - Advisory to the Planning Board; Comprehensive permit - advisory to Planning Board;
Other matters referred to the TRC by the Planning Board, Zoning Board or Town Council.
