The Town of Barrington is seeking a part-time clerk for the Town Clerks office with excellent customer service skills, that is proficient in Microsoft office and flexible in their schedule.
This position is responsible for a variety of complex administrative duties including the general handling of public records and vital statistics. The position requires the highest level of confidentiality and customer service as it interfaces with the public, taxpayers, customers, outside agencies, and employees daily.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years general office and customer service experience.
Hours are generally Monday through Friday from 10 AM until 2 PM but can change seasonally. Starting rate is $13.50 per hour. Monday evenings until 8:00 PM may be required at times.

Senior Services Van Driver/ Kitchen Helper
Up to 15 Hours per Week as Needed
The Town of Barrington has an opening for a part time 9-passenger van driver with a good driving record. Responsibilities include driving residents to and from the Senior Center or to specific locations including Shaws, various banks and pharmacies. Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus and operating the handicap ramp as necessary.
Candidate must also be willing to help in the kitchen as needed. Kitchen work includes setting up/breaking down tables, serving food, and cleanup.
Candidates must have experience driving a bus or van and be cheerful, patient and prompt. Must have a strong sense of responsibility.
